Colin Murray has resigned from Talksport after News corp bought the group which owns Talksport. News corp owns the Sun newspaper which is practically boycotted in Liverpool after its coverage of Hillsborough.
Fair play to Murray for sticking by his principals.

just read an article about the story and I've only just found out they also didn't offer collymore a new contract. for all the cuntiness in his past, he was a good pundit and at least spoke some sense
what's weird is the bit where it says the sun want more involvement with the station. strange timing as they'd only just brought back the talkradio channel, talksport 2 and virgin radio

Collymore had a new contract on the table, News Corp took over and immediately withdrew it.
I hate admitting it but I occasionally listen to it. I will never listen to it when it becomes Sun Radio. On the upside, Alan Brazil surely will be finally canned leaving him all day to drink himself to death

I like him and listen to the show when that cunt Micky Gray isn't on. Got a lot of time for him over this, fair play to him.
Brazil has definitely gone well past his sell by date though, Danny Kelly is much better in the mornings.

Never understood how Collymore held on so long. He'll be no loss, and Murray isn't exactly easy listening with his harsh Belfast tone. Hopefully they'll stick in the two Mikes or Danny Kelly.
The trouble now is that most ads will be for Skybet or The Sun.
